RETROVIA

Terms of use.

Last updated: August 18, 2026.

The commercial and data-processing relationship for a school pilot is between Retrovia and the participating school or program under a separate written agreement. A student is not treated as the commercial contracting party. Student access is authorized and governed by the participating school, its notices and policies, and any consent or permission required by applicable law. Independent users who are legally able to accept these terms agree to them by using Retrovia.

Independent report payment

Completing the independent assessment is free. The full independent personal report requires a one-time $1 USD payment through Stripe. It is not a subscription. Access is attached to the anonymous assessment and may be reopened with its private return code. Reports accessed through a valid school, co-op, or program invitation are included and do not require a personal payment. Except where applicable law requires otherwise, a completed digital-report purchase is non-refundable after the report is unlocked; contact Support if a duplicate charge or technical failure occurs.

An assessment—not a recommendation or prediction

Retrovia compares user-provided answers with common characteristics and demands of career options. Results are educational decision support only. They are not instructions, professional career counseling, psychological testing, legal or financial advice, or a determination of aptitude. Retrovia does not tell a minor what to become or guarantee employment, income, admission, licensing, satisfaction, job security, or any other outcome.

Accuracy and changing information

Retrovia uses reputable sources and verification controls, but no database, source, AI system, or verification process is complete or error-free. Pay, outlook, education, licensing, geography, and working conditions can change and can vary by employer and location. A match score describes compatibility with the answers supplied; it is not a probability of success. Users must verify material facts with current official sources and qualified professionals before making decisions.

Student, family, and school responsibility

Students and families remain responsible for their choices. Schools decide whether and how to use Retrovia, supervise its use, provide required notices or permissions, and comply with their policies and applicable law. Retrovia does not become a school official, counselor, guardian, or custodian of education records merely because a school shares an access link.

Accounts, links, and authorized access

School administrators are responsible for protecting administrator codes, limiting private links to intended participants, revoking links when appropriate, and promptly reporting suspected misuse. Anyone using an administrator code represents that they are authorized to act for that school or program. Do not attempt to access another school’s workspace or another user’s saved assessment.

Acceptable use

Do not attack, overload, disrupt, reverse engineer, bypass access controls, introduce malicious code, automate abusive requests, scrape the service, impersonate a school, submit unlawful content, or use Retrovia to make automated high-impact decisions about a person. We may restrict or suspend access reasonably believed to threaten students, schools, the service, or other users.

Third-party services and sources

Retrovia relies on third-party labor sources and technology providers. Linked sites and third-party services have their own terms and practices. Retrovia does not control their availability, completeness, or future content.

Service availability and changes

The service may change, pause, or experience errors. We may update features, safeguards, sources, or these terms as the product develops. Material school-pilot commitments should be documented in the applicable school agreement.

Disclaimer and limitation

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Retrovia is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, uninterrupted availability, or a particular result. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Retrovia and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or lost-opportunity damages arising from use of or reliance on the service. Nothing here excludes rights or liabilities that cannot legally be excluded.

Contact and deletion

Use the Support page for help, suspected misuse, privacy questions, payment problems, or deletion requests. School-specific support, retention, pricing, and deletion commitments may also be stated in a separate written agreement.
